Aqua colored building on boardwalk?

I’m curious to know the history of the Aqua colored (sad looking) building at the end of the boardwalk just as it turns going towards the Flagship Hotel.

We recently walked past it and realized their were people living inside.

Aqua colored building on boardwalk?

I can%26#39;t remember the name of it but its at New Hampshire and the boardwalk. Its been there since at least 1972 as I delivered the Philadekphia Bulletin inside there and it was several years old at that time. It%26#39;s individual apartments and back in those days it was pretty nice and the location is great if you had an ocean view. Unfortunately it hasn%26#39;t been maintained very well lately.

Thanks Jerry,

I agree that building has the most fabulous view and also in front of a wonderful section of beach.

By the looks of it I%26#39;m guessing it now houses as some sort of homeless shelter? At first we assumed it was empty until we saw someone on the top floor open a window.

To bad it’s such an eye sore - makes me wonder why Trump hasn’t gotten his hands on it but as it is in that location - most AC visitors don‘t pass that way so there’s no concerns to clean it up.

I imagine there is great potential for that property but a whole lot of nonsense politics’ attached.

Thanks again for the info!

Tornado Alley

where was the pool in the pictures? and the room with the pool table?

Thanks for the photo Tornado - I had issues tiring to post a picture of the it to my link.

We stood at The Flagship and had the an amazing view from the 26th floor - this building was included but didn’t overwhelm the serene setting.

The weather was excellent and everyday we walked to and from the casino area - it makes a more pleasant distance view then up close.

I am still interested in the history of the property if anyone has knowledge.

Thanks again

we walk by there last visit, it is a shame, great view of ocean and inlet, found out it is AC public

Housing, and it is in bad shape, even the rest of the

Boardwalk around the corner,

We were there last week and the boardwalk that faces the Flagship is in perfect condition - completely up to the arch park. Going the opposite way towards the Aqua building (past the concrete hub station and the section that is closed off) they were physically replacing the old boardwalk with new planks.

Perhaps it has something to do with that new hotel going up as it will gear more visitors that way.

I find that a very enjoyable walking section of the boardwalk without the crowds.

The Pool %26amp; Pool Table were at the CHELSEA

heres another photo of the Old Aqua Hotel I would like more info on this place too.

It never was a Hotel, its always been an apartment building of one sort or another.
