On my upcoming vacation, I will be stopping on my drive from Boston to AC to visit a friend who works at ABC on W 66 St. near Lincoln Center.
What would be the best way to get in there? Should I drive in and take my chances on finding parking near there? Should I park somewhere outside of Manhattan and take the train? How much would parking cost for about 2 hours midday during the week (on average)? It would be cheaper to take the subway, but probably more hassle, and I am sure that I would have to pay for parking at that lot too.
Any advice?
thanks!

(off topic slightly) New Yorkers - Manhattan question...
That area of NYC is tough to get to via public transportation, if this is the ABC offices On West End.
If it is the one where Regis is taped you could use public transportation but if you are only stopping for a few hours it would be best to park in one of the lots around there. If you are lucky you may get a spot on the steet.

It will be kind of hard to find parking. You may be able to find parking but you will have to drive around a bit. Keep quarters in hand just in case you find a parking spot with meters that just take quarters. They are putting up municipal meters where you put the money in the machine and then put the ticket in the windshield.
Parking in a garage for 2 hours will be costly. ABC is on Columbus so there will be plenty of meters as well as Broadway.
I forgot they have another building but if its the original building, its on Columbus. The other one is on West End Avenue.
Drive in. Too much of a hassle and time waster to leave your car outside of the city or another Manhattan neighborhood (like mine, in Chelsea, where it would be less expensive to park.) I think you should ask your friend to identify the least expensive parking lots in the area. There is always someone in every office that drives in and looks for the cheapest one.
go to brordway around69 70 71 street you will find a place to park at a meter .
you will probably have to park in a garage and it will be about $40 for the two hours.
ps if you go to www.bestparking.com you can find location and prices of garages in the area but i think you will find prices are relatively the same.
