It has been well over twenty years since I have visited AC, and as Mom has returned to Staten Island, I am thinking of a road trip with my fiancee of six years.
We will be looking for a nice quiet place to stay - Nothing Fancy needed, but again Clean, Quiet and Safe.
The dates are as of yet not set in stone, but we will probably be staying three nights then a ride up Rt.s 1 %26amp; 9 up the coast to Staten Island for five nights.
Any info would be appreciated ;)
Thanks In Advance,
Keith
Some Info Please - Visiting AC in Oct
***I am thinking of a road trip with my fiancee of six years.***
Well, Keith, it seems you%26#39;re the type who doesn%26#39;t rush into things, so if you stick around you will get lots of responses. I guess the first question is: Are you a gambler? And the next question is: Do you have any interest in beach and Boardwalk?
Let us know your interests and we can be very helpful.
Sounds like a great road trip by the way.
Some Info Please - Visiting AC in Oct
Since your dates are not set,I%26#39;d suggest trying to be in AC mid-week. As the warmer weather arrives the prices of rooms increases. Weekends are very expensive. Try to book your rooms in advance as much as you can so you can get a room at your hotel of choice and at a good price.
Like already suggested some more detail about what you%26#39;re looking for will be helpful.
FineMind and JerrsNJ, thanks for the fast responses.
A little more info on us I guess is in order:
Both of us are in our mid-forties, Love the Gambling Scene although it%26#39;s mostly slots and VP.
I grew up in NJ and spent many wonderful summers in either Point Pleasant or the Freehold/Asbury Park area. Debbie, my fiancee has never been up the Jersey coast, so I thought it a nice drive. Last time I visited AC was to stay at the Claridge and do some work on the still un-open Taj.
We visit Las Vegas for ten days every May, Biloxi, Ms. no fewer then three times a year for a four night/five day visit, Tunica, Ms. at least twice a year, again for Four Night/Five days.
It will be a 11 hour drive from home to AC, and we plan to spend at least three or more days, then a nice leisurely drive up to Staten Island to visit with family, plus take Debbie over to Manhattan, allow her to try a real ';Pie';, enjoy some Dim Sun in China Town, I guess you all can figure out the rest.
The info needed for AC is mostly a clean, quiet and safe place to lay our heads for three nights at a reasonable rate. The only date set in stone is the month of Oct. and well we must be home for Halloween for our grand children ;)
Any and all info will be greatly appreciated ;)

Keith~
If you play at HET properties, you could try at the Marina for Harrah%26#39;s or Borgata. Both properties are very nice, with pools, no real beach to talk about. If you want to stay by the beach I would suggest Caesar%26#39;s. I am really most familiar with the HET proeprties. Caesar%26#39;s is in the center of the boardwalk. You could walk out street side to the outlets or beach side to the Pier. Check the websites and see which would better suit you. Have a great trip!

In October (especially if you go midweek) most if not all of the casinos should have ';reasonable'; rates.
Where do you stay when you stay in Vegas?
