My husband came from Harrah%26#39;s (Chester) with a ticket he ';forgot'; to cash, how long are they good before they expire? I was going to call Harrah%26#39;s, but thought I would cehck here first.
Thanks,
TITO question
It usually says on the ticket--somewhere. If it doesn%26#39;t, call them.
TITO question
I%26#39;m not sure how they%26#39;re handled in PA, but in NJ, tickets previously had no expiration date. However, as of some date in April, Corzine signed a law that said NJ casino tickets will only be good for one year from their issue date. There was a provision for tickets issued prior to the April date, but I%26#39;m not sure if they expired one year after their issue date, or one year after the date the law was enacted.
Either way, it makes you think twice about leaving before making sure you%26#39;ve cashed all your TITOs.
Funny how the ticket cashing machines seem to be down more often lately!

Sometimes the tickets won%26#39;t work at the machine after a specified amount of time, but you can always take it to the cage to have it redeemed.
I remember seeing on the ticket that you could use it in a machine for up to six months. After that, you must present the ticket to the main cage. I don%26#39;t recall seeing an expiration date though.
'; but you can always take it to the cage to have it redeemed.';
I saw the above post, just wanted to mention that you can cash them at the cage if less than a year old. They do expire now in NJ, one year. Not sure about PA though, sorry. There were many signs up in AC this last weekend advising of the new law that has the tickets expiring in one year now.
First gift cards have expiration dates, now TITO have expiration dates, what%26#39;s next US Currency?
I can%26#39;t see how someone not cashing a bearer instrument can turn into a windfall for these places.

This has as much to do with accounting as anything else. The new law allows the casinos to have an entry for ';Reclaimed (by the casino) unredeemed TITOs';.
As the lost/misplaced/dog eaten/unredeemed vouchers reach one year old the amount is added to the casinos bottom line. Before the law was changed the casinos had to carry the unredeemed vouchers on the books as a liability.
Personally I feel that this is total political BS .... Help the struggling casino industry blah blah blah
But it does bring vouchers in line with Lotto tickets which usually expire one year from the drawing
Thanks for the replies, it was a decent win, but not enough to put us in another tax bracket LOL. We%26#39;ll head to Chester next week when my $70 reel cash can be played, may as well make it a worth while trip.
