First time to LBI - 6 adults - 2 children - Beach rental??

Hi:

Driving from Toronto to LBI - First time.

Looking for something close to the Beach that sleeps 8. Planning on going mid - August.

Any suggestion on where to stay?

With a group of 8 I would recommend a house rental. Beach Haven is fairly narrow so it is fairly easy to get something easy walking distance to the beach.

Try by owner sites such as www.homeaway.com, www.shoresummerrentals.com or www.vrbo.com.

There are also several rental agencies that handle rentals if you are more comfortable with that. Try the G Anderson company for an easy to search site: www.ganderson.com. Diane Turton also handles Long Beach Island. See: rentals.dianeturton.com

All of these sites cover all towns on Long Beach Island, and you need to narrow down to select only Beach Haven. Remember that August is prime month and some units are fully booked. (I am).

If you have more information on the composition of your group (kids.ages/interests) I could give more specific information on neighborhoods within Beach Haven.

Thanks for the infor - the group ranges in ages mid-30%26#39;s, 2 kids (9 and 6 years) and 4 seniors.

Looking for something not right on the beach but walking distance.

I will check out beach haven

Hopefully they will still have availability.
