Just a little fun topic on a Sunday morning. Please join in and share a favorite hobby, a little bit of non-casino YOU.

As for me-- and you already KNOW it will be DEATHLY BORING - -- I am an avid rose gardener. In the bed opposite the dining room I have an English rose growing for each of my six (6!) siblings and one for each of my parents. In the perennial border there are no fewer than fourteen.

All of them are either in or near their first FLUSH. What a sight!

BTW, for the boys: DH has an %26#39;88 Fox body Mustang with a 2000 Cobra engine in the garage . . . :)

When you're not in AC on the weekend, you are . . .?

During the summer I work the weekends in a beach resort. Taking our first days off tomorrow to go to AC...very rare having any days off but the beach is slow with tourist so time to sneak off.

Normally we work 7 days a week May - September then take the rest of the year off. Self employeed business owners.

In spare time we work on restoring this old house we decided to buy in the early 90%26#39;s...now this is something I would never do again. And spend time with family.

When you're not in AC on the weekend, you are . . .?

If its a sunny weekend, we%26#39;ll be at the beach in Wildwood Crest... we are beach people and spend as much time as we can there. AC just doesn%26#39;t have the beach they have in Wildwood Crest.

During the non-beach season, we like to do day trips on weekends.. Lancaster County is a favorite place as is Peddlers Village and New Hope...

We also love to travel to our favorite beach destination - Punta Cana and we try to do that twice a year.

Since I work and DH is retired, he has developed a love for cooking and likes to try all kinds of gourmet recipes.. he also is the reason our yard has pretty flower gardens... I am sure he%26#39;d love your rose gardens FineMind.

At the gym in the morning...golfing in the afternoon. At night enjoying the company of friends or family or just a nice dinnr with hubby and me.

When not in AC, I am thinking of AC...But seriously, since we now have an empty nest, I have become a ';bit'; of a workaholic (I am able to telecommute, thus I am always cleaning up some data..). I love my work, so I don%26#39;t consider it a drag, but my loved ones are not too crazy about all the time I send at my home workstation. We also love the beach and have a place out east in Hampton Bays, where we just sit on the beach as much as possible and just relaxed. Spending time with family and friends is our favorite past time (next to going to AC!!), R4W

go to a/c about 4 times a year. as soon as my daughter gets to be about five, i%26#39;ll be waving goodbye to a/c and waving hello to disney. my trips will dwindle to 2 times a year.

i don%26#39;t really have many hobbies (besides gambling). been going to a/c for about 17 years or so.

Wow, tough question for me, as we are almost always in AC!

Recently, the weekends that we are not in AC, we are in Saratoga Springs dealing with the builder.

It used to be that we would go to our house in Damascus, PA. but there%26#39;s no time for that.

Now, for the guys. I have a 1978 Knucklehead FLH (completely renovated) and a 1996 Ultra Classic. For the women, those are Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Finemind, I can totally picture you in the garden, those roses must be something else.

Thanks for being chauvinists, you two! Bill, I know what a %26#39;78 Knucklehead is - the 25th anniversary special. No, I don%26#39;t work on cars or bikes, but I have a serious appreciation of them. My first love was a 1964 cherry red Mustang Convertible, umm I mean it%26#39;s owner, Sean - but the car didn%26#39;t hurt! Women who grew up around guys (hi Ambrva!) learned a lot about cars and motorcycles, particularly the muscle cars. OK, rant off, lol.

My spare time passions are reading (I have a couple hundred on my laptop), watching old movies (classics like ';Some Like it Hot'; (gotta love that last line!) or ';Roman Holiday';, traveling to weekend long drunkfests with ';smart'; people called Mensa regional gatherings, or playing NTN trivia with my local friends at a bar in town.

Party animal that i am, i usually spend my weekends working and cleaning the house.

Seriously though, in my spare time i love to cook and try out new recipes using my friends as guinea pigs. I also love to travel and plan to take a language class this fall in preparation for a trip to Greece next year.

When I%26#39;m not in AC I%26#39;m home counting my money :)

Seriously, I%26#39;m a single homeowner. I%26#39;m always painting or fixing something. I%26#39;ve finished remodels on my kitchen, bath, bedroom, office, LR %26amp; I%26#39;m about to tackle the dining room %26amp; the front porch. Whatever project I%26#39;m involved in HGTV or the Food Network is on in the background. Next weekends project is detail the car, so I guess I%26#39;ll have music on instead...

I also love to cook and entertain, and FineMind, I too grow roses %26amp; mine are in first blush too!! I can%26#39;t wait for the buds to bloom!
