Hi again,
we%26#39;re still trying to get a feel for the Wildwoods! We found a rental on E. Bennet avenue in Wildwood...I%26#39;m pretty sure that Wildwood (boardwalk, crowds, etc.) is not my scene, but how far would we have to go (bike/walk/drive?) to find the natural, peaceful beach--with no looming hotels/boardwalks/convention centers?
thank you!!
Natural, quiet beach?
East Bennett is actually in Wildwood Crest, and is about two blocks from the south end of the Boardwalk. On this end of the Boardwalk, there is as a condiminium, a couple of small shops, a Dairy Queen and thats about it, then the Boardwalk going North, does not have really anything else for about 150 yards, so it will be fairly quiet at the end of the boardwalk. You should have no issues going a block or two to have a quiet area of the beach. The convention center is North of where you are, you should be a a good location to be able to enjoy a peaceful beach, versus to the North a little further, where it will be more crowded.
Natural, quiet beach?
Thanks--that helps! Is the beach there pretty, in addition to being uncrowded? In short, is that the best area for beauty and quiet, or do we need to bike further in either direction?
In my opinion, the further south you go in the crest, the better the beach.
