Point Pleasant: Beach access for extra guests?

I%26#39;ll be staying the White Sands in Point Pleasant Beach and we may have some friends taking the train from NY to visit us for the day. Will they be able to use the beach even though they%26#39;re not staying in the hotel? If not, does anybody know if there is a nice public beach nearby?

I know some areas along the Jersey shore require you to wear wrist bands to be on the grounds of the hotel %26amp; to use the beach. Does anybody know if this is common in Point Pleasant? Do they do this at White Sands? I%26#39;ve been to Wildwood many times and have never had a problem but have never been to Point Pleasant.

Thanks!

I%26#39;m not a lawyer but I beleve that there was a supreme court case about beach accsess not to long ago and they found that beaches are public property, so going by that yes.

Alright, thanks. We were just hoping it wouldn%26#39;t be a problem if our friends came down for the day. Sounds like they%26#39;ll be able to get access to the beach, which is great!
