Slot Host - is there such a thing in AC?

If there is such a thing in AC, how do they gauge if you deserve one or not? Does it go by time spent in AC? Or how much money spent? And do they contact you regarding a host or do you have to ask?

There IS such a thing in AC - but you might find them elusive.

It goes by money spent. Spend enough and they will find you. Spend enough to sort of qualify and you%26#39;ll need to call and ask for one.

At any casino you can pick up the phone and ask to speak to the host on duty. They will tell you if they can do anything for you or not.

Some of the Harrahs properties have (or at least HAD) floor hosts that you could walk up to at designated places. These may be gone due to the cost cutting.

Sorry - to clarify. It%26#39;s not exactly money spent. It%26#39;s money wagered.

Thanks Ambrva -

I started playing at the Marina in April and have received tons of mailers, comps for friday night stays, comp $, etc. I dont think i spend alot of money, in fact, Ive won more than i spent and Ive been using the Comp $ given to me.

I guess Ill wait a month or two and see what happens.

i recently emailed het about questions such as host...offers...lfrb ect ect. the reply basicly said they do not reveal their criteria for who gets what offers or qualifies for a host? but as another poster said,if they want to find you they will find you.

i was once tracjked down on the floor by a host in las vegas when playing pretty heavy ,but even my last trip where i ran up a pretty good amount of tier points i never got any attention. good luck and have fun.

The first time I was contacted by an HET host in AC was when I had about 30,000 Tier points. I would guess a daily average of about 3,ooo, about 7500 per trip. For Vegas, though, they have always been sending cards, letters, etc. The minute I set foot into a Vegas property and put my card in a machine, a host is right there, asking if I need anything. In AC, she checks on me maybe once a trip to say hi.

Against my better judgement, I went to the Marina and asked for a host! And i got one. I have been going there since April, every other weekend. By no means am i spending alot, maybe $150 each time i go. I received a coupon last week for a 2 night comp stay sunday to FRIDAY = yes, Friday. So we went Thursday and Friday night. After asking for a host, i was greeted by a very nice man..he took my Trump card, looked me up and asked if there was anything he can do for me. I asked for a Sat night comp room...and i got one. He also said he had given my Trump number to a %26#39;marketing manager (?)'; and i would be receiving more deals and special treatment in the future (his words, not mine).

So i guess it all boils down to, if you want something, ask for it.

Although it could be that the Marina will be sold shortly and maybe it doesnt matter who is comp%26#39;d at this point.

dee- I would think the opposite.

If they are to have any hope of the marina deal closing they need the monthly numbers to look as good as possible. Now more than ever, there should be no handouts.... if they gave you a comp it is b/c your play warranted it

CSR - I would love to believe that all the money i left there this weekend has gotten me something..

Ill take your response and run with it..

Lose about 20 grand and you%26#39;ll find a host that will be happy to give you a comp weekend room and $100-150 dining comp.

If i had 20k to lose, i wouldnt worry about paying for a room and dinner. LOL! I got a room comp for a Saturday night, but I dont think they gave me food and drinks
