Recommendation for best place to visit on Jersey Shore

My Wife and I are considering a few days somewhere on the Jersey Shore in July, were not exactly young or party animals so were looking for something quiet with a nice beach, nice scenery for photography and if possible some nice little shops and such to stroll around

As We will be coming by train up ideally would be a town at one of the stops Amtrak make but not sure which one would be the best for us with reasonable accommodation options reasonable in quality and cost

Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated

tattoodjay, sorry no one has responded to you as of yet, I just stumbled upon your question. I%26#39;ll just say, that if you can take the Jersey Coast train line that runs down to Bay Head, you can have your pick of great towns and beaches to visit. However, I would avoid Belmar as it still has a somewhat younger crowd, although lately it is getting to be more family like. Ocean Grove, Bradley Beach, Avon, Spring Lake, Manasquan, Pt. Pleasant Beach, and Bay Head are all lovely, beautiful beaches, great little towns, lots of fab restaurants, walk to everthing, and even can walk from the train to the beach.

I agree with the above post. In addition, I suggest Cape May. Wonderful Victorian B %26amp; B%26#39;s

Hello,

My husband and I enjoy Pt.Pleasant Beach. We are not exactly young either, and not party animals. It%26#39;s very nice and if you%26#39;ll be here for the 4th, they have beautiful fireworks right on the beach.

There%26#39;s also free movies on the beach on Sundays. You bring your lounge chairs, food, beverages, and enjoy a nice family oriented movie.

Enjoy
