1st Time in AC AND with 7 year old

Okay, plans are being made for first trip to AC and son is bringing his 7 year old.

Advise? I think of AC as more adult world themed but what is there for kids?

Also any first time advise for us?

1st Time in AC AND with 7 year old

Well there%26#39;s certainly plenty to do. The beach is the obvious place to go, but there%26#39;s the IMAX theater at Tropicana, the aquarium, and I would certainly recommend Lucy the Elephant down in Margate. That%26#39;s a cool place to visit for anyone of any age. It%26#39;s only a short drive. Also by the aquarium in Gardner%26#39;s Basin you can take a boat ride out along the coast of AC, and that%26#39;s always a great time.

For advice, the main recommendation is to stay on the boardwalk as opposed to Harrahs, Borgata, or Trump Marina in the marina district.

You are not doing the child a favor by bringing him along to AC.

If at all possible consider leaving the child with a friend/family member.

Other ideas along the Boardwalk...

The Steel Pier - plenty of rides for 7 year olds.

Arcade - there is one at the the Taj that has games for all ages - Mini-Skeeball, Wack-a-Mole etc. You can earn tickets to redeem for toys. I%26#39;ve seen other arcades along the boards as well. When I was that age, I could have spent my entire vacation in the arcade. (Now as an adult, I do...except now I put tickets INTO the machines and seldom pull any out!)

Hotel Pool - I think they all have at least an outdoor one. Check for age restrictions. I know Borgata has a 21 and over pool.

Isn%26#39;t there a miniature golf course by Boardwalk Hall?

The Taj is a good choice. Its right across from the Steel Pier and has discounted ride tickets if you stay there (they own the pier). They also have a self serve candy shop with small scoops and plenty of candy bins to choose from. I bet he would love shopping there. Also a large indoor pool.

Hope that helps. Have fun.

Their is a great ocean out their to, with a beach.

AC is mainly an adult playground but many people bring kids and have a good time at some of the places mentioned above. Steel Pier is opening now and it has the most kid rides. Lucy is great for a 7 year old. We’ve been with people with young kids and they’ve always found it fascinating along the Boardwalk. You should be fine as long as someone takes care with the child.

you all can ride a bike on the Atlantic City boardwalk in the morning [helmets required in NJ for under 14]. Bike riding is permitted on the boardwalk from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM from April 1st to October 31st. Bikes [helmets too] are available for rent near both the Resorts and Tropicana casinos B %26amp; K Bike Rental 609-344-8008

Taj does have an arcade for kids, but their redemption for toys/gifts is not good [Venusuz can vouch for this as she won a bent neon beer lamp at Central Pier] Central Pier has arcade games %26amp; outdoor go-Karts [off-season, they open the Go~Karts on sunny days w/temps above freezing] http://www.myspace.com/centralpier coupon njtickettosave.com/index.php…

The Pier at Caesar%26#39;s
